Ever wonder what kind of vacuum will work best in your vehicle? Do you need to know what would actually do the job? I’ve tried to use a normal house hold vacuum in my vehicles and it just doesn’t have the suction power to do what needs to be done. It can be hard finding a product that actually does what the packaging says it will. I would recommend that you do some research, but I hope these reviews will guide you in the right direction. I’m going to review 10 car vacuums and give you my opinion on my findings.

10. BLACK + DECKER CHV1410L 16-volt Lithium Cordless Dust Buster Hand Vacuum
This vacuum has a lot of qualities that one would want when buying a cordless vacuum that they could use for their vehicles. This vacuum has an amazing ion battery that is, allegedly, able to hold a charge for a whopping 18 months. That’s great because no one wants their vacuum to die in the middle of a job. It also has a clear compartment that holds all of the dirt that you vacuum up. The filters are washable, which makes life easier because you don’t have to go and buy a new filter every few months.
9. Black+Decker BDH2000PL MAX Lithium Pivot Vacuum, 20-volt
This car vacuum also offers a lithium ion battery, but it doesn’t state how long that battery lasts. While this carries more voltage compared to the first vacuum on this review, it doesn’t have the washable filter. Some might find that a deal breaker while others would prefer the extra voltage over the washable filter. The has a pivot nozzle that would help get into those hard to reach places. That makes it very nice for those hard to reach places in vehicles. This vacuum also has an ion battery that I’ve never heard of. This battery helps prevent loss of suction over time. Very nice.
8. Dirt Devil SD20005RED Scorpion Quick Flip Corded Bag Less Handheld Vacuum
This Dirt Devil vacuum has some good sides and a couple bad. This vacuum doesn’t run on a battery like most cordless vacuums. This one isn’t cordless so it features a 7A motor. Dirt Devils are known to have good vacuums and they do have good power and suction. This one offers attachments that will help you get into those hard to reach places that we’ve been talking about. With it being corded though, you may be limited to where you can park your car or if it will work at all. Not everyone has outdoor outlets so keep that in mind before you consider purchasing this one.
7. Black & Decker HHVI320JR02 Dust Buster Cordless Lithium Hand Vacuum, Magic Blue
It seems to be a trend that these cordless vacuums have an ion battery. These ion batteries seem to last a lot longer. It looks like this vacuum has a smaller nozzle which can be really nice. This vacuum also comes with accessories, such as the brush attachment that will help you clean the upholstery and possibly the material that is on the floor. I’ve noticed that not many of these hand held vacuums come with attachments, so that gives a few of these a leg up in the search for the best hand held vacuum that would be good for a vehicle. This vacuum also has a translucent and washable bowl and filter. So no replacements will be required.
6. Black & Decker HNV215B10 1.5 Ah Compact 7.2V Lithium Hand Vacuum – Cordless
This black and decker hand held vacuum is listed as lightweight, which is nice because it can take a while to vacuum a vehicle and it doesn’t need to be harder than it already is. This vacuum, once again, features lithium technology that helps keep that strong suction in the vacuum use after use. It also features a translucent dirt bowl for easy cleaning. The filter on this vacuum is also washable, which makes replacement parts unnecessary. This vacuum features something that seems really nice. It has a wall mount charger and base, which give it a nice place to keep it while it charging.
5. Dyson V6 Cord Free Vacuum
This vacuum comes with a much heavier price tag. While most of them vacuums run under $50 this one runs at a high price of $299.99. This vacuum is cord free and considered hassle free. It says the it can take up to 20 minutes of continuous suction. There’s a trigger on this vacuum that will stop and start the suction. This one, unlike the others, can handle many floor types due to the stiff nylon bristles that can remove ground-in dirt from carpets. It says that carbon fiber filaments help get rid of dust from hard floors. The bristles cover the full width of the vacuum, which allows edge to edge cleaning.
4. Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Handheld Vacuum, Corded, 33A1
Ok, back to the normal price of hand held vacuums. This Bissell would be great for those with pets that like to go along with you in the car. This vacuum has a rubber nozzle that attracts hair for easier removal. While this one is not cordless, it does have an amazing 16-foot power cord. This vacuum also contains two specially designed nozzles. This vacuum uses the cyclonic cleaning system and a multi-layer filtration system. The motor on this has a good 4 amps for power and suction.
3. Pet Hair Eraser Cordless Hand Vacuum
This is another vacuum that would be great for those who have their fury friends in the vehicle with them. This vacuum features motorized feet that provide powerful suction for a deeper clean. It also has a crevice tools that will help clean those hard to reach places that we were talking about. While other pet vacuums have rubber, this one has felt. That might help attract more hair than the standard rubber trim. The dual-action filtration system includes a one-year limited warranty, so make sure that you keep your receipt so you could use the warranty if necessary.
2. Black & Decker Pivot Vacuum 18V Cordless, PHV1810
Another black and decker contestant. This vacuum is cordless that claims to be smaller and quieter than other hand held vacuums. It holds 18 volts of power which is pretty good for something that is cordless. It features an on-board brush and extendable crevice tool. It says that there are no loose accessories. Once again, this offers a washable dirt bowl and filter with an LED charging indicator light. What this one does have that the other is that it’s foldable. This vacuum folds in half for easier storage.
1. Shark Pet Perfect II Hand Vacuum (SV780)
The shark model vacuums have been getting more and more popular as the years go by. This vacuum features 18 strong volts. It’s cordless and thanks to an extra-large detachable motorized brush for quick and easy cleanups when it comes to pet hair and ground in dirt. It’s light weight which makes it perfect for cleaning out a vehicle. Like the others this vacuum is rechargeable with an LED indicator light so you know when it’s plugged in and charging for its next use. This pet vacuum offers a crevice tool, motorized brush, dusting brush and a direct suction option for easy cleaning on any surface. It also has a detachable and washable filter.
A lot of these vacuums have a lot to offer. Some people know exactly what they want when they go looking for a vacuum or something that might cost a pretty penny. I hope this review helped you find what features are available for a decent price!
